    Father André Tiphane

    André Tiphane has been a priest since 1988. An avid outdoorsman and rock climber, he is particularly interested in the many forms that faith and spirituality can take in everyday life. Since 2012, he has been parish priest of Sainte-Dorothée in Laval.

    Alexis Pearson

    Her early studies were in communications and music, and she completed a master’s degree in social work in 2015. Initiated to travel at an early age, Alexis has visited several European countries, as well as Honduras and Cuba. She has been a Spiritours guide for over 10 years. Having discovered her faith through a group of young Christians, she is constantly looking for new ways to share the spirituality that nourishes and sustains her. She speaks French, English and Italian.

  • DAY 1 ǀ FRIDAY JULY 4, 2025 MONTREAL – LAC AU SAUMON (657 km)

    07:45: Departure from Montreal. Short stopover in the Quebec City area. Dinner at La Pocatière (own expense). Drive to Lac au Saumon, in the Matapedia Valley. Supper and overnight in a Famille Myriam Beth’léhem home in Lac au Saumon (S).

  • DAY 2 ǀ SATURDAY, JULY 5, 2025 LAC AU SAUMON – CARLETON (142 km)

    Breakfast, entertainment and dinner at Lac au Saumon. Departure for Miguasha after dinner. Visit to Parc national de Miguasha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where fossil fish and plants bear witness to an environment that existed 378 million years ago. Overnight at Motel La Tradition (CITQ: 009170), near Carleton (PD/D).

  • DAY 3 | SUNDAY, JULY 6, 2025 | CARLETON

    Visit to Mont-Saint-Joseph oratory. Mountains have always inspired people to return to their roots, to serenity and contemplation. Pilgrimages to Mont-St-Joseph date back to the very beginnings of the French colony. The Breton-inspired chapel, built from stones found on site, is enriched by several works by well-known artists. Overnight at Motel La Tradition (CITQ: 009170), near Carleton (PD).

  • DAY 4 ǀ LUNDI 7 JUILLET 2025 | CARLETON – PERCÉ – GASPÉ (262 km)

    Drive to Percé. Get a close-up view of Percé Rock. This multicolored block of limestone was formed at the bottom of the sea 375 million years ago! Afternoon cruise to Bonaventure Island (optional $): you’re likely to see whales and seals. The island is home to North America’s largest colony of Northern Gannets! Depart for Gaspé in the late afternoon. Supper at your leisure in a Gaspé restaurant and overnight stay at the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King (house overlooking the entire Baie de Gaspé).   • DAY 5 ǀ TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2025 | GASPÉ

    Morning visit to the Notre-Dame des Douleurs sanctuary. Located in Pointe-Navarre, near Gaspé, this Marian shrine has been a place of worship and pilgrimage since 1940. Outside, you can see the stations of Mary’s Way of Sorrows, bronze bas-reliefs and a marble St. Michael the Archangel. In the church, you can admire works of art such as the main crucifix and the St. Joseph the Worker, by sculptor Médard Bourgault, and the Stations of the Cross, by French ceramist Rose-Anne Mona. The tomb of the founder, Father Jean-Marie Watier, is accessible 24 hours a day. Afternoon visit and hike in Parc Forillon (box lunch). Located at the eastern tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. Parc national de Forillon is a park of exceptional beauty. A network of hiking trails stretching over 70 km allows hikers to discover breathtaking landscapes of sea and mountains. Supper at leisure in a restaurant and overnight stay with the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King (PD/ D).

  • DAY 6 ǀ WEDNESDAY JULY 9, 2025 | GASPÉ – CAP-CHAT (216 km)

    Morning departure. We’ll drive along the Haute-Gaspésie coastline, making a few panoramic stops along the way. Climb Mont-Saint-Pierre by adapted bus, with the option of trying out hang-gliding with an instructor ($ not included, must be booked in advance). This site is considered the hang-gliding capital of Eastern Canada. Supper at leisure in a restaurant and overnight in a Myriam Bethl’éem family home in Cap-Chat (PD).

  • DAY 7 ǀ THURSDAY, JULY 10, 2025 | CAP-CHAT

    Mountain challenge day at Parc de la Gaspésie, with your group (other activities planned for those unable to take part in the mountain challenge). Covering an area of 802.2 km2, Parc de la Gaspésie is located in the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula. The park is home to some thirty mammals, including woodland caribou, moose and white-tailed deer. More than 130 kilometers of trails criss-cross the park, offering panoramic views of the Chic-Chocs mountain range and the McGerrigle mountain massif, which boasts 25 of Quebec’s 40 highest peaks, including Mont Jacques-Cartier at 1,268 m. Time for sharing and prayer with members of the community. Supper at leisure in a restaurant and overnight in a Myriam Bethl’éem Family home in Cap-Chat (PD).

  • DAY 8 ǀ FRIDAY, JULY 11, 2025 | CAP-CHAT – CACOUNA (269 km)

    Departure from Cap-Chat after breakfast. Visit to the Métis Gardens. These gardens are a work of horticultural art of exceptional beauty, enjoying international recognition. Dinner on site. You’ll be amazed by some 3,000 species and varieties of native and exotic plants, including the blue poppy that makes the Jardins de Métis so famous. The site is also a major tourist attraction on the Gaspé Peninsula. Departure for the Cénacle de Cacouna retreat house, where you will be accommodated (in silence). Possibility of prayer time for those who wish (PD/S).

  • DAY 9 ǀ SATURDAY, JULY 12, 2025 | CACOUNA – MONTREAL

    Eucharistic celebration if desired, or time for personal renewal. Visit to the Cenacle (if possible). Dinner and drive to Montreal. Arrival late afternoon or early evening. (PD/D) *Mutual welcome will be encouraged within the small group, which will become more and more a circle of fraternity, respect and listening, favoring the growth of each individual. Each evening we’ll take time to share our experiences of the day (those who wish to do so), to pool our discoveries, our joys, our sorrows, our expectations and so on.
