This tour will also take you to Milan, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, and to Assisi, a center of peace and spirituality, for a unique experience that will nourish your soul. Born in Italy, Sister Angèle experienced the horrors of war. At the age of 17, she emigrated to Quebec, where she joined the religious community of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil. She taught cooking at the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec for 16 years, set up a culinary research laboratory and became a Radio Canada TV host for almost 50 years. She is the recipient of numerous honorary awards, including the Grand prix Max Rupp (Chef cuisinière), the Order of Canada and the Ordre National du Québec. She published numerous books and created the Fondation Sœur Angèle to help underprivileged young people.
Of Belgian origin, Rosette Pipar emigrated to Quebec in 1980, and has worked in Quebec and Europe as an artist agent, event organizer and communications consultant for government agencies and companies, winning numerous awards for excellence, including the Grand prix de la culture for the Fondation des arts des Laurentides, which she managed for 12 years. She has published 18 humanist and spiritual books, including 3 on Sister Angèle, and co-hosted a series of conferences on “Le bonheur d’être soi… selon Sœur Angèle”. She has produced a documentary on Sister Angela in Italy and 3 television series.
Departure from Montreal, flight Montreal-Milan with Air Canada.
Arrival at Milan Malpensa in the morning, meet the coach and the tour leader, then depart for downtown Milan. You will enjoy a guided tour of Sforza Castle, a former fortress now transformed into a museum complex, famous for its artistic collections. Next, visit the Duomo, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, where you can admire its stunning architecture and enjoy panoramic views from its terrace. The day will conclude with a stroll through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a splendid 19th-century shopping arcade, known for its mosaics and elegant boutiques. Overnight in Baveno, on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
Day dedicated to a boat excursion to the Borromean Islands. You will begin with a visit to Isola Bella, famous for its magnificent Baroque palace and terraced gardens, followed by Isola Madre, renowned for its lush botanical gardens and historic palace. The day will continue on Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island), where you can explore a charming village and enjoy its authentic atmosphere. Overnight in Baveno.
Departure from Milan to Santa Margherita Ligure, a charming seaside resort on the Italian Riviera, where you will embark on a boat excursion to Portofino. This small fishing village is famous for its colorful houses and marina, attracting visitors with its picturesque setting. After the visit, continue to La Spezia for the night.
Day-long excursion by train to Cinque Terre, visiting three of the most famous villages. You will start with Monterosso, the largest of the villages, known for its beaches and ancient monastery. Next, head to Riomaggiore, with its cliffside houses and narrow streets, then on to Manarola, one of the most photogenic villages, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the sea and vineyards. Return to La Spezia for the night.
Departure from La Spezia with the first stop in Lucca, where you will have the opportunity to walk along the well-preserved city walls and visit the Lucca Cathedral, a gem of Romanesque architecture. You will then discover the Piazza Anfiteatro, a unique square built on the remains of a Roman amphitheater. Continue to Pisa to visit the Piazza dei Miracoli, where you will admire the majestic Pisa Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, before heading to Montecatini for the night.
Day dedicated to Florence, starting with a visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo), famous for its monumental dome, and the Baptistery, with its decorated bronze doors. The afternoon will be spent at the Uffizi Gallery, one of the largest Renaissance museums, housing masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Overnight in Montecatini.
Departure for Siena, where you will explore this well-preserved medieval city, known for its famous Piazza del Campo and Gothic Cathedral. Then, visit a local producer for a tasting of the renowned Brunello wine, accompanied by lunch. The day will conclude with a visit to the Abbey of San Galgano, a historic ruined monastery. Overnight in San Gimignano.
Visit Assisi, the city of Saint Francis, with a tour of the Basilica of Saint Francis and its frescoes depicting the life of the saint, a major spiritual landmark. Then, transfer to Perugia for the night.

We recommend registering as soon as possible, as spaces are limited. Please attach a photocopy of your passport with your registration (for international trips only).
