Arrival in Rome. Orientation tour of the city. Transfer to your accommodation and installation. Mass. Overnight stay in Rome.
Guided tour of Christian Rome: major basilicas and catacombs. Overnight in Rome.
In the morning, canonization of Marie-Léonie Paradis in St. Peter’s Square. In the afternoon, visit of Baroque Rome (optional $) or afternoon at leisure.
Morning visit to Ancient Rome (optional $) or free time. In the afternoon, guided tour of the Vatican Museum (optional $) or free time.
You have two options: either a day excursion to Assisi (optional $), or a day at leisure. Full-day excursion to Assisi: departure by private coach for Assisi. Guided tour of Assisi. Situated on a gentle hill below the summit of Monte Subasio, the legendary town of Assisi is Italy’s most famous pilgrimage site, and the birthplace of St. Francis. Born in 1182 in this village of warm pink stone, Francis founded the mendicant Franciscan order to which he gave his name in 1210. Discover the astonishing Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Duomo di San Rufino and stroll through the medieval streets. Return and overnight in Rome.
You have three options: either an excursion to Castel Gandolfo (optional $) or an excursion to Monte Cassino (optional $), or else a day at leisure. Option 1 – excursion to Castel Gandolfo: Drive by private coach to Castel Gandolfo. Here you’ll visit the Papal Palace, summer residence of the popes since Urban VIII. It also houses the Vatican’s astronautical observatory. Option 2 – excursion to Monte Cassino: Drive by private coach to Monte Cassino. Visit the Abbey of Monte Cassino, built in 529 by San Benedetto da Norcia. It is one of Italy’s two largest monasteries. Return to Rome and overnight stay.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.

Registration deadline: August 17, 2024 (60 days before departure or when the maximum number of passengers is reached). It is possible to register after this date, but a supplement may apply.

Please register as soon as possible, as places are limited. Please enclose a photocopy of your passport with your registration (international travel only).

Documentation required: all Canadian travelers to Europe must be in possession of a passport valid for at least three months beyond the planned return date.
