Born in Montreal of a Guatemalan family, he did all his training in Montreal and was ordained a diocesan priest on May 17, 2019. His experience with the French, English, Latin American and Italian communities in the diocese make him a priest very close to the multicultural reality of the Church in Montreal. After three years as curate at the Cathedral Basilica of Mary Queen of the World in Montreal, he has been parish priest of Sainte-Marguerite Bourgeoys parish on Nuns’ Island since September 2022.
Archbishop Brian Joseph Dunn On April 13, 2019, Pope Francis appointed Most Rev. Brian Dunn as the Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth and he was installed in that office on July 5, 2019. After being installed as the Coadjutor Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth, he served as the Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Antigonish until its new bishop was installed on February 3, 2020. From that time, Archbishop Dunn served with Archbishop Anthony Mancini in Halifax until November 27, 2020, when Archbishop Mancini retired from his office on his 75th birthday. At that time, Archbishop Dunn immediately became the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.Archbishop Dunn comes to the diocese after serving for 10 years as the Bishop of Antigonish, appointed by Pope Benedict XVI on November 21, 2009. Prior to his appointment to the Diocese of Antigonish, he served as an Auxiliary Bishop of Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario after his episcopal ordination on October 9, 2008.Archbishop Dunn was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on January 8, 1955 and was ordained to the priesthood on August 28, 1980. He was then assigned to a number of parishes in the Diocese of Grand Falls until 1988, when he enrolled at Saint Paul University in Ottawa in studies in Canon Law and completed his Doctoral studies in 1991. In September 1991, he was assigned to parish ministry at the Cathedral in Grand Falls, NL. He also worked as Vice-Chancellor and later Chancellor for the Diocese of Grand Falls as well as being involved in teaching theology and pastoral ministry with the Atlantic School of Theology. In 2002, he joined the faculty at St. Peter’s Seminary, in London, Ontario and from 2005 until 2008, he had served as Dean of Studies. He was ordained as a bishop in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL and served as Auxiliary Bishop of Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario until January 2010. He was installed as the Bishop of Antigonish on January 25, 2010.Archbishop Dunn became the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth upon the retirement of Archbishop Mancini.
French National Coordinator for the EIC 2024. Bishop Christian Rodembourg, m.s.a., born in Brussels on August 26, 1959, became a member of the Society of Apostolic Life of the Missionaries of the Holy Apostles in 1994, and was ordained a priest in 1995 after studying theology at the University of Montreal. For 22 years, he served as a priest in the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, while holding various positions within his religious institute. He also engaged in various spiritual movements and authored several works, including “Praying for 15 Days with Father Eusèbe-Henri Ménard.” In 2017, he was appointed Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe by Pope Francis and ordained to this position in September of the same year.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a guided tour of Quito with an English-speaking guide. This charming UNESCO World Heritage city will allow you to immerse yourself in the local history and culture. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before taking part in this extraordinary congress, which starts tomorrow! Overnight at Hotel Ibis or similar.

After breakfast, drive to Quito airport for your return flight to Montreal. ***Itinerary subject to change ***
Flight from Quito to the Galapagos archipelago (approx. 3 hours). Arrival at Baltra Island airport, welcome by guide, land and sea transfer to Santa Cruz Island. Stop at the island’s Twin Craters, then visit a semi-wild Galápagos tortoise reserve and lava tunnels. Lunch. Transfer by land to your hotel in Puerto Ayora, the largest city in the Galápagos. Rest of the afternoon to get to know the town, enjoy its Academy Bay, see the first sea lions, pelicans, frigate birds, marine iguanas… take a dip in the Pacific Ocean at the small beach near the Darwin station. Dinner on your own. Overnight at a 2*/3* hotel.
Lunch at the hotel. Transfer by land to the port of Baltra, then boat excursion to Pinzón Island. Visit on foot with a naturalist guide, discovering the island’s fauna and seabirds. Dinner on board. Transfer to Fe Beach on Santa Cruz Island. Swimming and snorkeling. Return to Puerto Ayora. Overnight at the same hotel.
After lunch, sail to Isabela Island, the largest in the archipelago. Arrive at the small town of Puerto Villamil, situated on a superb beach. Transfer to your hotel, followed by a visit to the pink flamingo lagoon and the Galapagos and/or Humedales turtle breeding center. Dinner at a local restaurant. And snorkel excursion to the Tintoreras site (meaning harmless white-tailed sharks). Overnight at a 2*/3* hotel close to the beach.
