Join us for our familiarization trip to South Korea. It will offer you a first immersion in Seoul in preparation for World Youth Day 2027. The itinerary combines visits to the capital’s must-see attractions and major spiritual sites linked to the history of Catholicism in Korea, as well as free time for personal visits or meetings with the host dioceses. The aim of this trip is to provide an overview of the logistical, cultural, and pastoral possibilities for organizing future groups.

A graduate in administration from Laval University, Quebec City, she has also taken university courses in theology and has a keen interest in psychology. Her passion for travel has taken her to more than 45 countries on five continents. She began her career in tourism in 1992 and founded Spiritours in 2003 after a life-changing trip. She is a member of the international Focolare Movement and a member of the board of directors of the À Dieu Va Foundation. She is co-author of the book Voyages spirituels, 50 itinéraires de rêve (Spiritual Journeys, 50 Dream Itineraries), published by Éditions Ulysse. She is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
Meet your English-speaking assistant at the arrivals gate at Incheon International Airport (ICN). Transfer by private coach to your hotel in Seoul. Check in at the hotel (official check-in after 3:00 p.m.) and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to rest and adjust to the time difference.
Free day to explore Seoul at your own pace. Suggestions: walk around the hotel or visit the surrounding area (National Museum of Korea, Jongmyo Shrine, Naksan Park, Namdaemun Market). Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, then meet your English-speaking guide. Full day dedicated to Korean Catholic history and cultural heritage. Planned visits:
• Myeongdong Cathedral – Symbol of Catholicism in Korea and seat of the Archdiocese of Seoul.
• Jeoldusan Martyrs’ Shrine – Sacred site commemorating the persecution of 1866, where many Korean Catholics gave their lives for their faith.
• Museum of Korean Catholic Martyrs – Discover relics and historical documents tracing the lives of the martyrs.
• Jogyesa Temple – The main temple of Korean Buddhism, offering a glimpse into another spiritual tradition.
• Insadong Street – A lively neighborhood renowned for its craft shops, galleries, and tea houses.
Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for a day trip outside Seoul. Transfer: Seoul → Yongin (~45 km, 1 hour). Planned visits:
• Eun-i Sacred Site (Yongin) – A place steeped in spirituality where Saint Andrew Kim Dae-geon, Korea’s first Catholic priest, lived and was arrested.
• Mirinae Sacred Site (Anseong) – Burial site of Saint Andrew Kim Dae-geon, with a magnificent church, a memorial, and a Way of the Cross.
Return to Seoul in the afternoon (~50 miles, 1.5 hours).
