SPIRITUAL WALK

Description

Autumn in Japan will enchant you with its golden light: temples adorned with green moss and vibrant leaves, like living paintings. Savor the daily art of living in this fascinating land of contrasts and immerse yourself in its purest traditions. Experience a spiritual retreat in a shukubo on Mount Koya, the sacred mountain of the Kii Peninsula. Immerse yourself in Kyoto, a World Heritage gem and the favorite city of your guide, a Zen philosophy teacher, for its geishas at dusk, its artistic treasures, and its gentle way of life. Participate in wellness workshops led by Catherine and Line. Finally, let yourself be carried away by the mysticism of the Kumano Kodo, a thousand-year-old path in the heart of the Japanese countryside, where spirituality and nature intertwine.

Highlights

  • 2-day retreat in a Shukubo on Mount Koyasan
  • Discover the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage (listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site)

The plus

  • Various workshops on reconnecting with oneself, Zen Buddhism practices and philosophy, yoga, meditation, and more
  • Visits to numerous temples and shrines, including Sanjusangendo Temple
  • Walking in the footsteps of the bodhisattva Kannon, or “how to develop compassion”
